3 Ingredient Ice Cream

We're having root beer floats for dessert tonight and I didn't want to go to all the trouble of making a custard, cooling it down, freezing it in the ice cream maker and then letting it harden in the freezer. A friend shared this recipe with me and I've been making it for a while. I call it cheater ice cream.

It's so good and so easy! Plus it only has 3 ingredients, so it takes literally seconds to whip up. The base goes right into the ice cream maker and 20 minutes later we have creamy soft serve type ice cream. and hour later we have scoopable hard ice cream. Easy peasy!

Here's how you do it:

Empty 1 (14) oz can of sweetened condensed milk into a measuring cup.

Add milk until it read 5 cups.

Add flavoring and stir well.

Pour in into the ice cream freezer and freeze according to your freezer's directions.

3 Ingredient Ice Cream

4 cups half and half or whole milk
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons vanilla, orange, lemon, maple, mint or other flavoring

Mix all ingredients together and freeze according to your ice cream makers directions. Makes approx. 2 quarts.
