Let's Have a Cuppa Coffee and A Chat

Good morning everyone! At least, here on the west coast it's good morning, it's more like good almost lunchtime for you east coasters. I got up early this morning to see my husband off to work and do a few little things around the house before the kids got up, but that plan was quickly ruined when the littlest two got up when they heard us stirring around. Dang!

Now I have filled them up with super sugary cereal, (which I will soon regret), and they are lounging like lizards on the couch staring off into space. If I am lucky and don't make eye contact with them they just might go back to sleep. Unfortunately, I am not a very lucky person. Double Dang!

Pretty soon I am going to go get busy in the kitchen making a recipe to post here later today. There's a mountain of laundry calling my name and I'm pretty sure the trash needs taking out.

I just wanted to have a catch up chat with you, let you know I'm ok. I've been busy. It's a busy time of year and I'm not very organized so when I think I'll do something for the blog, sometimes I don't get to it. And then I feel bad. Then I cry. Then my kids tell me to get over it and be a big girl, and really, how do you argue with that?

So, to make sure that you get some super exciting content on here with pictures of food that will add jiggle to your wiggle I got up early and got a stick of butter out of the freezer. Yep, that's my proactive, plan ahead, organized self making sure that I make some cookies. Because around here, if there is soft butter sitting on the counter and I don't use it......someone will eat it. No joke. And I don't mean the dog.

Please tell me I am not the only house that has lovers of butter. We already feel freakish enough as it is.
