Oatmeal Pie

This was one of those recipes that I just wasn't sure about. It had every chance to be good, and I thought it might be, but I just didn't know. So I made it, and it looked delicious.

Delicious. I really need to get out my thesaurus and get another descriptive word. Scrumptious maybe.

Anyway, I made it and I didn't take pictures because I was in a hurry and I also didn't want to waste time posing the food in an appropriately lighted area if it was going to turn out, well, not so good.

But, guess what? It was wonderful. The family loved it. It tasted like pecan pie. It was gone in about an hour.

 

I regret not taking pictures now. I won't make that mistake again! When I make this pie again, and I WILL be making it again, I will post about the whole, simple process.

*Quick note- I didn't use the rum and I only had pecans. It still turned out wonderful and I am in love with this pie. You should see the looks on peoples faces when you tell them it's an Oatmeal Pie!
