It's In The Air

Spring. I can almost smell it in the air. It makes me want to bake a pie, make beans for a bbq, feed hummingbirds, devil some eggs and plant some veggies! Spring is probably my favorite season, the world is fresh and new after a long dormant winter. It isn't as hot as summer, everything is green and lush and I can work in the garden. I am especially looking forward to it this year since all of the kids are mobile and everyone can be outside. Outside, what a wonderful thing. It's my sanity saver, "Everyone outside and play!" Off they scamper leaving me to my chores and a small bit of quiet time. If you can count kids screaming at each other to get off the bike, KayCee playing the air guitar on my bbq basket or the dog barking at birds quiet time. I do. I'm desperate here people, I take what I can get. I can hardly wait. But, off I go now, the zoo needs fed and medicated, and we have to clean their cages. Oh, and remember: April showers bring May flowers, but what do May flowers bring? PILGRIMS!
