Is this really happening?

We loaded up the kids yesterday to go check out the Redwood National Forest and to maybe hit the coast fir a while. Um, yeah. What really happened was that by the time we hit Crescent City we were NOT driving any farther for a while. It turns out most of my kids get carsick. I'll leave it at that and spare you the nasty details. I would like to point out that by this time though we had used up all the extra outfits we had, except one for KayCee and one for Lainee. So, we decide that it is a gorgeous day and we are just going to go to the beach. Get everyone out, go down the trail, head for the water. Lainee falls down in the surf and gets soaking wet, but it was ok, the kids had a lot of fun at the beach. Then we loaded up for home. The LONG way home, with a far less winding road. Needless to say, after 11 hours being gone, puking and sand everywhere, we were glad to be home. We learned a few things and are more prepared for next time around. All in all a good day, puking aside. Can't wait to do it again!!!
