The toaster isn't toast after all
So, since I posted such soul-searching thoughts this morning I will now entertain you with the story of the toaster. A few days ago K asked if she could make toast. I said sure, because I am all about them being as self sufficient as possible and all, so off she went. I started to smell something but didn't think much of it as I am not very good at cleaning out the crumb tray. When I started to see smoke, I decided it was time to check things out. K had put a bowl on top of the toaster and then made toast. It was melted into the toaster and down the sides. Upon further investigation I discovered magnets were also inside and fused to the sides as well. I set the toaster in the laundry room and kinda forgot about it. Today when I was back there I spied it and took a look. When I grabbed the plastic it just popped right out, magnets and all. I am happy to report that it has made a full recovery and felt up to toasting our pop tarts this morning. And it didn't even start on fire.

what happened to the bowl of magnets? Sounds like modern art, you should sell it on eBay.
ReplyDeleteI should have thought of that before I trashed it! Oh well, I'm sure they will make something else I could sell....
