So sad
We ventured off to the big city last night to visit Kevins grandparents. It had snowed on some of the big hills and the girls were ooohhhing and aaahhhhing over it. We haven't had any snow this year and they really love snow. But, to their delight it was snowing really hard on the way home. Our car was completely covered in the driveway by the time they went to bed. There was so much excitement and planning going on for what they were going to do in the snow the next day. I tried to warn them that it would probably be melted by the time they got up, but they weren't going to let me rain on their parade. They set out clothes, extra socks, mittens and hats then went to bed to dream of snowmen and snowball fights with a little sledding thrown in. Fast forward to this morning when the sad little faces of my children decended the stairs and announced that the snow was all gone. I felt sorry for them, their little dreams crushed, so I offered to make them snowman pancakes instead. It's the best I can do. Darn snow.
